Our photo of the week takes us to Marlborough’s Wairau Lagoons, just south of Blenheim.

The Wairau Lagoons Walkway is not normally open for biking but, on 18 January 2015, you can join us for a free guided mountain bike tour.

We’ll ride the trail out past the lagoons to the Wairau River mouth. It’s an easy ride (Grade 1) with plenty to see on the way. Feel free to bring a picnic.

Meet us at 4.30 pm at the Wairau Lagoons carpark, Hardings Rd.

This is just one of many events in the Marlborough, Nelson Lakes and Kaikoura Summer Explorer Programme.
