Last week Conservation Minister Maggie Barry announced that Nicola Toki would be New Zealand’s first Threatened Species Ambassador.

The Ambassador will be a high-profile role within DOC to help protect the country’s threatened species and will work across the country to involve more New Zealanders in conservation.

Air New Zealand will be supporting the Ambassador for two years, as part of an ongoing partnership with DOC worth more than $7 million.

It is very exciting news. Congratulations to Nicola – a very important role and well done AirNZ with their sponsorship – they do some great things when it comes to supporting NZ.
