Entrepreneur and philanthropist Sir Richard Branson is spending some time in New Zealand, and has been impressed by our beautiful forests and charismatic birds.
In a whirlwind trip, Sir Richard was treated to a personal tour of Rotoroa Island and Shakespear Regional Park, planted a native tree with Auckland mayor Phil Goff and watched Auckland Zoo vets perform a health check on Rotoroa Island’s first takahē chick.
Sir Richard was particularly impressed with New Zealand’s Predator Free 2050 goal, saying that it was a tremendous pledge, and the difference it would make would be dramatic.

excellent work!
Who wouldn’t be impressed. It’s a big task, but will be totally worth it.
